Why a national insurance corporation chose Tantia HFT

A large national insurance corporation selected HFT to reduce the costs associated with transferring files throughout its high-bandwidth, nationwide network. Part of the network's function is to move hundreds of thousands of files per month between its headquarters and 45 member plans and between the plans themselves.

Millions of health procedures are billed to insurance companies every day.
A national insurance company must send each claim to the patient’s home-state insurance facility for final bill payment. Thousands of claims are regularly batched together and transferred from one state agency to another state agency. As the number of claims increases, the network bandwidth it takes to electronically transfer claims from one facility to another also increases. These transfers require working with a variety of operating systems and with virtually every platform in use today.

HFT automates the data transfer process and reports on successes and failures on both ends.
Unlike FTP and mix-and-match file-transfer approaches, Tantia's HFT solution enables transfers to happen automatically. It’s not necessary for personnel to watch for transfers, remember to do them, or even check to make sure they happen correctly. People get involved only when there’s a file-transfer problem; then they can react to it quickly and keep things on schedule.
